Xilimyth likes her wings nice and massive, (you know, so she doesn't fall out of the sky like a rock) But it's tough to get 'em to scale, without dwarfing the rest of her body. Actually worked pretty well here, but I spent a lot of me saying 'ooooh, can i FIT the wings on this page?' after this point.

I think that actually happened in panel four, but they were so wide, they took out the panel on both sides, breaching the Fourth Wall, and I'm afraid the whole panel imploded under the weight of 3 dimentional reality. So this page just skips from panel three to five. Sorry about that. ^_^;
There is/are other ways to make the wings even though they are stylized. They don't have to be as massive if they are porous to air only on the upbeat.
Or like in my Thainien race, (silicon based instead of carbon) they have four of them on a humanoid anthropomorphic dragon with soft metallic internal organs and a metal body otherwise. With the fact they weigh over a couple tons because their wings are porous on the upbeat and they have four of them they fly as it they were a drag racer.
I studied the aerodynamics of a bumble bee, which modern science states cannot fly! - though their wings are gossamer they create a vacuum above their wings just like an airplane. So just like an airplane's shape of the wing creates a vacuum above the wing the plane, though heavier than air gains altitude.
