My second woodblock. This one was so fun. Inspired by Planet Earth. I worked really hard on this and I'm quite proud of it. A little bit of the image got cut of in scanning, but nothing too major. This was probably my favorite print I made in my printmaking class. I really want to make more images similar to this, maybe make a series.
Oh, and if you're interested, I will sell prints of this. The image is 9x12 inches and printed on various papers including papyrus. Note me if you're interested. Prices will range from $15-25 depending on the paper. (Note: I don't actually have these right now, they're with my teacher, but I'll be getting them back in a week or so hopefully.)

ahaha no worries, I get called that a lot, even in person (yeah California! XD) And sweeeeeet <333333 I'd love to do small woodblock or some other printmaking sort of commission, but I'm not in a printmaking class right now, so no access to a press. Maybe next quarter though...
Very impressive. I love great studies of animal skeletal structure. This one has the added benefit of depicting something exciting going on at the same time, which seems relatively outstanding to me compared to most I've seen.
I feel like the stark contrast, angular lines, and the radial star bursts really draw me into the primal energy of the scene and give this intense moment the weight it deserves.
Keep up the good work.

Many thanks! I remember how moved I was when I first encountered this footage and I just had to make an image of it. It's still one of my favorite works I've done. I'm hoping to do more of these eventually with other animals, but I'm not in a printmaking class right now and it's intense (but rewarding) work.
