Unofficial Name: Subzero Cell
Height: 5’8’’
Technical Gender: Male
Species: Common Qwuedeviv
Official Skill: Stealth Operations
Rank: Former Lieutenant; Prison Grade Four
Appearance: Subzero has light periwinkle/light blue fur. Its belly and neck are white as is about three quarters of its face. A large half ring of white extends around the base of its neck onto its back with another thin, crescent shaped stripe below that. Its left ear is tipped with white, a black ring right below it. Its right arm has two thick black rings and the underside of its tail is white. It has two black 0 like marks around its eyes.
Subzero wears a standard Prison Grade Three uniform.
Personality: Subzero is a sarcastic Qwuedeviv who rarely seems to be motivated in doing anything. It is considerably rude, sometimes passive aggressive, and generally just sluggish about everything. It usually has some kind of sharp remark about whatever is currently being said or done. Although considerably a pain to be around it does occasionally offer good advice. Additionally, it finds the other Qwuedeviv it is with to be pretty alright. Most of the time it looks either bored or angry. Subzero has little tact when addressing others and has made several overly harsh comments.
Contrary to what most Qwuedeviv would suspect, Subzero has zero tolerance for fighting amongst comrades. No one with half a mind would start a scuffle around it as it will neutralize said fight rather quickly and forcefully. If someone angers it to the extreme it feels like fighting, it will attempt to warn them several times to back off, fearing it will repeat the mistake it has made in the past. If pushed though, it will push back. It is generally very self-controlled when it fights now, although brutally aggressive. Subzero aims to extinguish a fight as quickly as possible.
Subzero no longer struggles with the fear to retreat and run from its problems, but rather faces them boldly and with extreme confidence. Its loyalties are not easily understood and it does not make the knowledge readily available, which keeps everyone rather wary.
Background:
Subzero was once a lieutenant in the army division. It commanded several stealth operations. It had its fair share of losses along the way, but compared to most Qwuedeviv, it was a fairly average commander. That was, until it was issued orders it did not agree with from a Colonel that it was not fond of. It was during one of their undercover raids that cost Subzero pretty much its life. Commander of stealth operatives, it was to safely arrange for troops to infiltrate the Jaala Tuur’ga labs and rescue as many Qwuedeviv kittens as possible. It does not openly speak of what happened instead during those days, but a Lieutenant General died at its hands. After this, it fled in fear, deserting the stealth unit platoons and squads under its command. After being hunted down by mercenaries, Subzero was accused of treason and sentenced to life in prison where it has been ever since.
Subzero’s face was marked with two zeros—part of its identification numbers—so that if it ever escaped it would be easy to identify and hunt down. It also stands as a very visual reminder to all, Subzero included, of the grave mistakes it has made, and the degree to which command responds to such offenses.
Through a series of reasons and circumstances, it was added as a unit in Symbol's little squad.
Random Facts:
Subzero never intended to kill the Lt. General, but no one really believes it. It ran due to panic of the moment.
Subzero lost its rights to officially have a name or invader name. However the prison guards have sardonically named it, Subzero Cell, due to it commenting about being so incredibly cold. “’Ol Subzero Cell down there; whining again.” Etc.
Symbol’s crew fondly likes to make reference to the story of Subzero once leading a squad straight up into the trees when they were ambushed by Qwujakuhl where they had to stay for several hours. This was during Subzero’s first months as an officer.
Symbol tries to trust Subzero, but is often wary of its motives. Since Subzero never defends its motives nor explains the premises of what happened, there is little other one could logically do otherwise.
Subzero's collar is a tracking collar, but it is also capable of giving a strong electric shock in the case it is needed. It cannot remove the collar.
