The most full self-portrait I may ever do.
This was a commission form my grandfather, for the full $35 I needed- he told me to pick from a few subjects and make a charcoal drawing. ONe was me, another was my horse. It was only going to be those, but I was left with some empty space that I was allowed to fill in with an otter, leaving me with, well.. me.
My horse gives me strength, life, hope, and love.
The otter is my spirit.
Art is my savior, as is the Cherokee music I listened to as I made this.
