Evil? I am sorry, but I have 3 OPEN species and this is the only closed one I have

Err, sorry to say it bud but whether you disagree with the species being closed or not... It is still Kaioku's creation. Only Kaioku can decide what to do with the species and whether or not he wants them to be open to the public. 3 open species is plenty for people to continue to make. It is a bunch more than most artists ever create, myself included. :/

Nothing is impossible with genetic engineering. though closed species are creative and different I'd say they are far from impossible or evil. just say that to the person who owns a Liger and a Zorse IRL. not sure if its a Zorse but its real. I love open/closed species. since I have a Griffotter. you should keep an open mind about it instead of being a total douche.

Buddy, pal. . . The artist may do whatever they wish with their original creation / species! If they want to reserve them for a special lot, then so be it. It's not breaking any rules as far as I'm aware, so there really isn't a right or wrong here, evil or good, however you want to put it! If Kaioku wishes them to be closed, then they're closed. 'noth said. ~

Though, I can see a valid point in Realitysquared's response, There is one thing to be considered, sure you could draw your own part of a character from a closed species, however, being reamed and the like from everyone that finds the heart in a closed species is not something that great. Though, it is what a troll looks for. Some people are willing to go so far as to have themselves filed for harassment because of reaming because they respected the creator's wishes rather than to see them sullied but someone who wouldn't put as much heart and thought in to the very creation of the species/character. I don't know if I could really consider it evil because of a creator wishes to close the design creation to outside artists but more that they feel that justice wouldn't necessarily be done to satisfy the creator.
I can honestly see both sides of the argument fine and these are just the thoughts of someone who has been on both sides. I've honestly sat here and thought, 'What is to keep me from creating a character of this species?' and by the same token I've also thought, 'I hope no one would go beyond my wishes and make their own.'
After all, artists make the money to live based on what they can sell. It's just one more thing to consider in the argument. Y'know?

Excuse me? Evil...?? That comment wasn't very mature, in fact, I believe it makes you look like a child. I'm sorry. But the thing is, if a person creates a species and wants to close it because it is their specific creation and it is a dear part of them. By offering adopts, I have to say that it is actually rather nice. Some people only offer 1-2 adopts and then close off the species completely. Some people don't even allow others to create one. Problem? I don't see one. Respect other people's designs and creations. It's up to them wether or not they want to close a species. It is, after all, a true creation of theirs and it was their idea to come up with the species. RESPECT IT. That's just the way art works.

Ahem. Long story short, if you don't like "closed species" don't even bother looking at them, let alone leave a rude and childish comment.
