RotDrakon Species info!

General:
Height: 7-9 ft tall
Length: 14-18 ft, depending on their height. But they can be llike, 7 ft tall but 19 ft long.
Lifespan: They usually live 35-60 years, depending on their lives.
Diet: Fish and Meat, berries as a treat. Eating too many berries or fruit WILL make them sick though.
Habitat: They can live almost anywhere in the world! From Deep Jungles to Grasslands, from the arctic waters to the Caribbean. However they cannot live on land up north, they are reptiles and need the sun/warmth of the water to live. They cannot breath underwater, but can hold their breath for around 2 hours.

Social Structure:
At the beginning of their lives, They are born from a small clutch of eggs. RotDrakons mate for life, and the Mother and Father will fight any threat to their eggs as a team.
Once hatched, RotDrakons will live with their parents for around 5-7 years until their parents feel as if they're ready for the world, but some have been known to stick around for almost 10 years. As a very intelligent species, the parents will not let their young leave until both they, and their offspring, feel as if they're likely to survive. Once they leave their parents life, they will either wander for years, find a mate and rejoin their parents and the clan they grew up in, or start their own. They have a very peaceful social structure, There is not usually any violent leader selections, as they will usually just wind up turning to an elder clan member for advice. Said Elder is usually the "Alpha".
They will fight for territory, and Mateships are built on trust and cooperation. However the initial meeting is usually caused by a male's frills impressing a female.

Gender Differences:
Males are Slimmer, Faster, and more lethal. Their Poison is more lethal, and tend to be covered with more spikes than Females. Females have very tough skin, and armoured sections where it takes quite a few hits to break through if at all. Their tails are shorter and broader. They could knock your head off with those tails ! Females also happen to be better at swimming, and slower on land than their male counterparts. its the opposite for males. Females have shorter head frills, and lack neck frills at all. Their tail frills are longer however for shading and protecting their young.

Other:
RotDrakon eggs are slightly textured like a rock, and dull and grey in colour. They lay their eggs in the water usually, among rocks to keep them safe and warm. Eggs hatch in about 7 months.
Rare features on a RotDrakon usually include Extra headfrills, and possible butt frills. This also includes more than 3-4 colours all together.
Since someone asked, They use their head frills as their eyes and ears. It basically paints a picture for them when they emit constant sonar ! However they can't really see colour, which explains their poor camouflage.

RotDrakons are a CLOSED Species, meaning you can only make one if i give you explicit permission !
