you can layer mesh, so create a copy of the body and put the tabby texture on it, then take the shirt 'body' off, put the tabby on, then right click 'add' the shirt body back on

There's a couple things that can cause this. It looks like your avatar didn't "deform" correctly though, deforming meaning the actual internal base body of your avatar didn't stretch correctly to align the attached parts of your avatar. If it was working right before, relogging should fix this. This usually happens when you switch between outfits that have different types of avatar deforming. For whatever reason, SL hasn't put in a way to automatically reset before each new outfit. If you use any avatar which deforms the body, it's stuck like that even if you use another outfit that should deform it another way.
