A lighter military vessel, the Corvette.
Corvettes are a relatively common sight. Designed mostly for recon, convoy escort, exploration, and stealth warfare. The Corvette is lightly armed and well-armored, boasting only forty point defense guns, two concealed missile launchers and a small drop-ship deployment bay. However, this is made up for by the ships' greater speed and maneuverability.
A large sensors array and communications dish sits near the stern top section. This sophisticated gear allow the crew to pick out navigational hazards and contact other vessels at extreme distances. This allows the Corvette to function as a minesweeper, survey vessel, and stealth ship, when outfitted with the proper countermeasures.
