The only fox I've met close-up and personal was a tiny little vixen an older couple brought to a flea market about 15 years ago. Her mother was hit by a car before her eyes were open, and they had raised her from a kit. She was in a dog crate on the step of their caravan, and they told me to lay my hands flat against the door grille. Suddenly, I felt dozens of high-speed, gentle kisses on my palms! That's how she said "Hello!"
