This picture from 2011 is pretty significant in the history of my art. It was after this picture that I went into a huge near-hiatus from art all the way until last spring (2013), with barely any submissions at all. That said, I think it is gorgeous, and I use it as my wallpaper to this day.
I secretly am proud of myself for making Tom's outfit so plain because Europeans don't wear as flashy, in-your-face clothing as we Americans do, and I think I captured that just a little.
Tom's foster family are birds. That's how he wound up this high up on top of a house--it's really just a balcony (well, the house is on a cliff too, so you can't see the nearby land to the right).
