I downloaded the program called AC3D, but to have it forever an ever, you need to pay for a liscence, which isn't too bad. And seeing as you'd be getting the new one, you'll have access to a myriad of new features and add-ons. Make avatars for Second Life, make custom 3-d screensavers, and tons more. It's a simple program, made by INIVIS, not too much of a learning curve, and probably the easiest to make stuff on for it's price range.

I got my licsence for it at around 100 bucks.

wow and its really REALLY easy to model in it? i have no knowledge of 3D at all but i do want to learn it~
