This is DuskQuill WindWarrior, owned by MoonFeather. He's a blue roan tovero mustang stallion, and is currently being bred to my Palomino Sabino mare named Bianca (seen in the background).
It was early in the morning, and slightly over cast, the older palomino mare has been drawn away from the rest of the herd by the sweet smell of fresh rainfall. She had traveled a great distance from her fellow mares, but the journey was worth it in the end. There she stood grazing in a nested valley, fresh grass that was surrounded by pine trees and violet mountain ranges. Across from her was a wide river, which she paid no mind to..until the brightly colored stallion happen to be spotted at the other end, quenching his thirst. The golden mare caught the attention of the young blue and white stallion, and in a classic display of stallion like behavior, he began his courtship. For three days, and three nights, the older mare would stay there in the valley. And on the third morning, she returned to her family, carrying her third foal.
The background was done a little differently this time. The stallion is now the focal point. However I tried my first attempt at water visual distortion, so no, his rear legs are not really that long. When you look half under and half over water, the things under water appear to be closer and larger. So I tried to make the legs that were under water to appear that way as well. I know there are no braids in this picture, but hopefully you guys love it any way.
This is part of my breeding trade with MoonFeather, according to the rules of the HorseArt RPG.
