One of my favorite things about hosting my Voice Acting Workshop panel has been learning the difference among furries from different regions in America. Furry Fiesta will always hold a special place in my heart not just as the first convention I ever did hold my Voice Acting Workshop panel, but as the source of so many awesome voices. I remember once being told that Texans talk better than most people around the country, and having recorded at TFF, I'd have to to concur.
There's just a strength to the voices I record at Furry Fiesta that I don't quite get anywhere else. I think you'll hear it if you compare these performances with ones I get at other conventions. Even when the acting may not be convincing, the delivery is always confident-- and sometimes that's all it takes to make a scene work. It was a delight to go back over these recordings and remember again how much I enjoy bringing my recording equipment to Addison, TX.
Also, I want to give a special shout out to
floppybelly and
doberdog who both came onto Livestream to watch me edit this together. I'm planning on hosting my voice acting panels online in the coming months, like I used to years ago, and as a first tentative step, I streamed myself editing this project. They were the only people to come on to watch, but I stunned myself when I found I had cut the entire project-- in one sitting. O.O I think having an audience, no matter how small, pushed me to stick with it instead of falling to all the distractions that usually pull me away from the computer. I will most certainly be doing more live editing! :)

That was ME??!?!
Wow...you made magic happen, apparently. I almost didn't recognize my own voice there...I'm floored. Thank you, very, very much for this - because this gives me confidence to move forward with a couple things. I had left yesterday with your last posts page open, and didn't see this post until I made all my responses on the other one (FC 2013 post), but this one was (obviously) the one I was waiting for. You work pretty fast, apparently. :) But yeah, I'm hoping to catch you at another panel eventually - though I only have time for maybe 2 cons a year, one of them is usually TFF - so if you go back (and it sounds like you like it) I'll go to your next panel and see you there. Thanks again!

I can work fast when I'm not distracted, I guess! XD Between the FBA and work, I've just been too busy to devote time to this project. It's felt great to be able to get back into editing again! Audio engineering has always been my wheelhouse, and sometimes I forget how much I enjoy it. :)
Glad you enjoyed how this sounded so much! And hey, big thanks to TFF for providing me such a great recording environment. I'm sure as you've heard from some of the other recordings, it gets really tough if I'm next to an AC unit or there's a lot of voices around. It feels really good to be able to get a great recording on the road. And thanks for your performance! I think it really stands out among the other performances here. I love how much you underplayed it, and I love the gravel you gave your voice. Great job!

It was indeed, but if I recall I was no Adriana. I think we had a Swift part 2. But I LOVED hearing this Buck, if you're looking for talent from us "well spoken Texans" I know a place you might find a voice or two! I look forward to getting into those online workshops and any other Texas stops you make!
