The character you see driving is not mine, but from a dA member. While not my style, some of her work was amusing.
At the time, I was in a creative slump, so I hatched an idea. I asked the artist what her favorite car was.
It was the Corvette.
No regular pose-with-car pose would work, so I channeled my inner Ed "Big Daddy" Roth for inspiration. Also, no regular Corvette would do to match the outrageousness of this character, so I hot-rodded it up, Gasser-style (vintage drag-racing). Solid front axle moved forward, open headers behind the front wheels, supercharged Hemi engine, aluminum fuel tank on the nose, the works! All wrapped in with kustom touches on a car that's definitely not babied, but rough and full of character. Like her owner.
Here's the thing: I forgot who the artist that inspired me was.
Why?
Because this is an old pic I did back in late '08, I think.
While my dA account is only a couple of years old, I've been snooping around since around that time. I used my sister's account to ask. Obviously, this wasn't uploaded.
All I remember was that she had those ear piercings (the electricity was my personal touch), long, pierced tongue; slender, some drawn with goggles and parachute-pants things (dunno if they had dragging suspenders), with an Avril Lavigne-type of wardrobe/accessories 2000s-"Punk-rock"/"I'm Not an Emo"/Hot Topic type of scene (minus the suckage).
Personality-wise, she's portrayed as really crazy, and freaks out at the sight of Algebra -which is a piece the artist did that I most enjoyed and remember.
To the artist, I wanted to thank her for inspiring to break out of my slump and try something different and fun.
To you, do you know who she is?
