A little scene took directly from the third book of Age of Fire series, from E.E.Knight (a series with dragons protagonists).
Basically it's exactly what's said (the "it seems so perverse" with intrigued voice) , but RuGaard doesn't reply in the book xD
(and for who doesn't know the series, the green one is female).
Comments and opinions are extremely welcome ^^

Oh, btw another super-fan on deviantart actually make the point about a little detail:
If we all consider that the rumors at the end of the last novel are actually true (because the author wasn't going to write them, if he wanted to imply the opposite), and considering he deliberately mentioned a "a cave near the sea", we can say with a good deal of safety that they actually tested for real such techniques Xp

Re-checked and I think of being right ^^
"“I did enjoy that, however,” she said. “I’m told the Anklenes have some scrolls about how dragons can mate in a river, and it’s like flying. It seems delightfully perverse.”"
"Book 2" (=aka part w of third book), chapter 17 Xd
It was just before the news of the Tyr's death.
