The first picture of Kir I ever drew... wow, I sucked... okay, fine. I still suck. So what? I'm gonna go eat more leather off my jacket now. I need food. And sleeeeep.

I see this and immediately think of that old Springsteen generation. Waaaay back when he was Mr. Energy Onstage himself. (The Original "G'night everybody God Bless America!!!" etc etc) It's the pose that does it. It's definitely the pose.
That hair just screams Rock star there. Maybe that's what helped me come to that immediate conclusion of thinking this reminded me of Bruce Springsteen. At least now I have the reason.
But getting back on topic, I like how this was colored. I do.
I say this while looking at the arms. When I see how you have the lighting down (Hey, proper light source and shading- good work with that~) it's like...it's this combination of a Marvel Comics and Underground independent comic like like coloration style. That's seriously appealing to me and works for this picture as it's like...this rough coloration style, but at the same time, it suits the character because well... hey- I really don't suppose this isn't exactly meant to look elegant here.
And as I said in the picture I commented on before this one, I happen to like the damaged jeans there, that I do. It's like.. it fits the personality of the character, while at the same time, kind of gives this picture that "Screw conformity and fancy getups, I'm here to rock" kind of vibes.
I can respect that.
And that's why I like this picture~
