Species: Uhamera
Homeworld: Caladon
Average Height: 6'
Languages: Galactic Common, Uhari
Allignment: Heavily Spiritual
Diet: Omnivorous
The Uhamera are brightly colored aliens that resemble bipedal dragons with luxurious manes and tufted tails. The males are a bit "hairier" than females, often having hair on their jawline, spine, knees and elbows as well.
They are honest and diligent, following a strict code of morals and taking pride in whatever they do. They are kindhearted and show genuine concern for those around them, paying special attention to those in need. This can be used against them by people who try to take advantage of their kindness, but once an Umahara's trust in someone is broken, it can never be regained. They can be formidable fighters, treating combat as a sort of ritual dance.
Most Uhamera have strong religious beliefs, believing that everything in the universe is alive; containing spiritual entities and guardians.
While they are not one of the five elder species, their voice is strong among Alliance politics and they are very influential on the younger species. However, they often find it difficult to integrate themselves completely into the cultures of other species.

I've had this species in the back of my mind for a long time. I always wanted to make an Asian dragon inspired alien species since some of my species have evolved from critters that ancient humans bio engineered.... and I always believed that when we learn to bio-engineer animals, the first thing that would probably be created are dragons. >_<
More on them later.
