Submerged in Enigma's Drool-Filled Maw
Follow up to THIS: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12697781/
Things seem to have escalated for the micro inside the drooly hyena's mouth, it was slimy and filled with enough saliva before but now the entire blue cavern has filled up with drool! And what's that...a slight current pulling from the back of the maw? Oh dear...
Maybe there's something dangling above that the micro can try to cling onto before being dragged down into the throat as the liquid is swallowed? (FORESHADOWING NEXT PIC LOL)
So it turns out drawing the inside of Enigma's jaws is actually really fun and has somehow kicked off a small Point-Of-View series!

Yeah that's where you have your issue - Enigma just doesn't really have that pred streak in him naturally...though he does let micros into his maw though!
Mind you, he is as dumb as a doorknob so if you tell him he'll get something nice for eating people he'll listen. BUT drunk Enigma sounds funnier and way more genuine.

Ahaha, your eyes deceive you! They only LOOK white because of the effects I use, here's the original minus drool effects http://i.imgur.com/HOgAyu2.png
Yeah, still as lovely and pearly as ever XD

Sorry to disappoint, that link is how beautiful Enigma's teeth are without the multiple layers I used for the underwater effects. Such lovely teefs, no?

I feel like that's a big achievement! I love drool, my sona drools non stop so this amount of slobber is very common - and yet somehow this still doesn't seem like enough XD
Thanks, I like drawing maws and tongues and all that junk, always a blast. I never use references either - oh the perks of having a creative imagination c:

This kind of piece is so worthy of all the attention it gets. There are pretty much no references for this sort of piece (since I doubt any man nor his camera would get inside the mouth of a hyena) so it only relies on the artist's imagination and ability to think outside the box. Two things you demonstrate so neatly here! Looking at this, it does feel like Enigma has taken me into his maw and all the details like the shine on the drool does make it feel like I'm surrounded by slobber. I think the only thing you could add to this piece is to add slight distortions to the surroundings as what light there is gets refracted and reflected by the drool. Other than that, though, well, you can probably already tell what I think of this piece... Well, you're wrong. This isn't just awesome. This is REALLY awesome! Well done!
It's pretty bad now I look back on this, it doesn't really look like it's underwater - partly my fault for being too attached to how deep the blues were before I started adding the drool pool filters.
Thanks, as is usually the case with my art I didn't use any reference for this...it started as a quick sketch in a stream actually.

Don't be too harsh on yourself... It's one tiny thing, a complex thing that I dare say most artists would struggle with! It's a step to making you an even better artist. This piece is really good; please stop dragging yourself down! You've done so well with this, honestly. I'm really sorry I upset you.
Don't feel bad, it wasn't your doing - I've been critical of this thing since I finished it. But it just means I can try to get it right next time.
So you meant a mix of rippled/wavy sections and little reflections of light on certain surfaces right? I'll remember that for next time.

This turned out remarkably well as you did so, so well on the POV, the mouth structure and alignment of his teeth, and the detail of his upper mouth too. You did especially well on the overall look of his tongue which looks BEAUTIFUL with an excellent sense of shape and form to it and also has a soft, inviting look to it as well. You did very well on the coloring with the lighting/shading (particularly so on the upper part of his inner mouth and on his tongue overall) and a nice job on the sheen and drool droplets too. This incredibly awesome to behold and very beautiful too! Excellent work on this. <3
