A character I've been playing around with - just how random can I make things?
Mi-Hyun, a Korean Sable, the high-end and theatrical madam of a fairy brothel. I imagine her as the incredibly campy type... the kind who would put up furry porn minhwa on the wall, or wear such a badly cut hanbok without shame. Half the stuff in this room is probably pink, I ought to color it sometime soon... High end clients. The girls probably recite poetry along the side. ^u^
I'll be straight with you guys here, I am not incredibly versed in Korean things, even though I went to high school in the most Korean neighborhood (Albany Park) in the midwest. We had more Parks than Munich. So yeah, I remember the cuisine, I remember how to pronounce Korean just as well as my sister's ilchom ose Korean boyfriend, I learned recently ("He probably knows more than I do," he joked); I even based the fan on what I remember from the performances by my high school buchaechum club. But I know just enough to know I know very little, so correct me if I make any glaring inaccuracies... and don't tell me she wouldn't fan herself with a buchaechum fan, she's just campy enough to do that.
That Minhwa was... pretty fun to draw X3

You know, she's always hiring <3 Fairies may not be very good with metal, but they probably have a strange fascination with latex... it does, after all, come either from trees or from the carbon from fossilized organic matter, that's an interesting thing to think about, is what they could do with you. Weird science!
Ages ago, Hakusei did a sexdoll pic called Chinese Take Out, which was a deliberately humiliating kind of Shiba anthro in white - but a confusion of asian fusion references all put together, Geisha clashing with chinese symbols and sexdoll. It was deliciously and self consciously crass.

I search but cannot find, though the idea intrigues me (I miss her stuff, but that does sound like her). Oh dear god, that's crass. Fortune cookies and "Skang Kee Ho" crass. Sweet Esteban de Julio Ricardo de la Rosa Ramirez, it reminds me of this book I just finished... "Star Spangled Kitsch," a 1978 view into American kitsch just after the bicentennial. Who wants soap shaped like tits, nightlights shaped like Durer's "Apostle's hands," a fake colonial milk can with an eagle on the front, a JFK memorial salt and pepper shaker, a clock designed to look like a fake bookcase?" Some of them defy belief. "St. Jude glow-in-the-dark letter opener - pray for me in your hour of need." A canine sex doll dressed as a chinese takeout box doesn't raise an eyebrow to me anymore.
And they're fairies, they have wonderful taste! Probably give you some nice Celtic Knots in your shoulder ribbing for added grip and aesthetic happiness <3 It's just worth it to join up, to watch when the clients make special requests, to play "Una and the Lion" or "Kitsune Wedding" or "Goblin Market." So fun to watch.
"Lizzie utter’d not a word; Would not open lip from lip lest they should cram a mouthful in: But laugh’d in heart to feel the drip of juice that syrupp’d all her face, and lodg’d in dimples of her chin, and streak’d her neck which quaked like curd." Few poems induce such metaphor as this.
And they're fairies, they have wonderful taste! Probably give you some nice Celtic Knots in your shoulder ribbing for added grip and aesthetic happiness <3 It's just worth it to join up, to watch when the clients make special requests, to play "Una and the Lion" or "Kitsune Wedding" or "Goblin Market." So fun to watch.

If there are any inaccuracies, the most it can do is spark an interesting conversation with a person savvy in Korean things, so don't worry
Her expression is great, would only be better if she was peeking over her fan like a shy courtesan, but I guess she doesn't need to do that anymore, being the boss of the brothel Also, I wonder why you didn't implement your sig on the thing she's wearing, would've fitted well, I believe, although it might also be a bit hidden then.

"Demure" and "campy" are pretty damn antonymic, man ^u^ I imagine she's hiding an exposed boob behind the fan, since if you've ever seen a hanbok, you'll notice that she has it strapped around the bottom of her ribcage, while the normal hanbok is strapped around the armpit.
And no, my sigil is a mashup of a Tintin motif and an electrician's hobo code, it doesn't look korean at all. Doesn't add to the plastic age feel. I had a very powerful shape of negative space I needed to subdue, the sigil was the best option there.
