Edward Steele is the headmaster of the Denver Pokeumans base. Highly literate and intellectual, Mr. Steele utterly defies expectation by being an eloquently-spoken deep thinker. He tends to be quite verbose in his speaking patterns and comfortable discussing complex issues. Rumor has it that he is an excellent fighter, but administrative duties are where he feels he truly flourishes.

Mr. Steele was childhood friends with Cubone's mother, Martha Rhodes, and quickly took to Cubone as well. Though he spends a great deal of time hard at work in his office, he's incredibly approachable, has a keen sense of wit, and tends to always be one step ahead of the troublemakers. Secretly, he has becoming increasingly concerned with the highly unpredictable nature of Pokextinction attacks. Nevertheless, he perseveres and continues to raise his charges in the best way he can manage.

When a long-term duration of reading is required - which is often - he uses a specially-crafted pair of reading glasses, designed to fit the shape of his face perfectly.
