You all remember Shal, don't you? Steadily trying to break out of my art funk and experimenting with painting over line in the process. My penchant for muscular blue men shines through.

The elimination of line makes it look much closer to a painting.

I love how the lines on his feathers lead the viewer's eyes back to him, a nice use of vectors in composition.

One more thing... that stare he gives is alluring and confident.

The feathers have a hypnotic effect to them, draw you in to Shal's eyes

This dude resonates with me :) My family name is Peacock (like in clue!) and all my friends-who-be-furries always tell me I ought to be one- I would say "Pshh, like that would ever fly," but then you go on and roll out captain sexypants over here and now I don't know what's what :) For added awesome points he kind of reminds me of the King of the Cosmos! ;)
