Could be worse
I recently turned on my netbook to find... it wouldn't boot. Total hard drive failure.
1 and 3/4 years without a propper backup, I've lost at least a solid months worth of programming on it. (Fortunately I did SOME backups, just not everything most recent), so, I know how you feel when you lose data.
