Do you got a first aid kit handy?
Do you know how to patch up a wound?
Tell me are you patient, understanding?
Cause I might need some time to clear the hole in my heart
and I've tried every remedy
And nothing seems to work for me
Damaged, damaged
I thought that I should let you know
That my heart is
Damaged
So Damaged
And you can blame the one before...Second in my Wizard of Oz inspired series, this is the Tin Man, played by
's character Joseph. I wanted to do something with armor instead of just being made out of tin, and it seemed fitting to do more of a steampunk feel with it. The apple orchard comes from the scene in the movie where the trees are evil and throw apples at Dorothy and her friends. Trying to get just a little bit of nature in each of these. :)There are still slots available! You can find all the info regarding this series right here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14210261/
Still available: Toto, Scarecrow, Munchkin, Glenda the Good Witch, and the Flying Monkey. :3

I don't mind MLP , except for these dark alleyways in the fandom full of nasty stuff which just make you shudder that and its a bit too colourful and at times a bit too nasty for me.
but I think real animals come first, fictional races are cool, but its the real life animals that are most important :o

I keep getting sucked into the background and details of this piece. Like the imperfect apples and leaves, the face of the tree, the cog that frames the trees, or just how foreboding that forest looks. <3 So suffice it to say that this background is great! I love what you did there, and it really add a lot to the piece.
I will also say this is a lot more armor than I was expecting, so I am again impressed by the detail on the design of the armor and the rusting patterns in the coloring. So I am also finding that very eyecatching and I think really ties the other worn and beaten aspects of the image together. I'm finding the fur texture and hair are also wonderful in their movement and detail as well.
I really like that wounded expression Joseph has. He looks just oh so soulful. Very fitting for a gentle artist. <3
So thank you so much for this! I think it looks AMAZING.

Thank YOU for such a thorough commentary, I always like getting those, especially from the commissioners. :) I really wanted to carry the theme of being imperfect through the whole image, so the rust on the armor and the rotten spots in the apples came about from that idea. I wasn't actually sure how I wanted to do the background until I started doing it, so I ended up just making it up as I went, but I was pretty happy with the final result. Glad to hear you are as well, and I hope this helps solidify Joseph a bit more as a character for ya. :D
