The Terrible Trio

When Nina and Jared “Smoke” Flameshell decided to start a family together they both thought the hardest part would not only be conceiving a child due to their incompatible natures, but also balancing paternity with their skyrocketing battle careers. They both joked about the low odds and how they could get “uncle” Husk and their parents to help out. But it was just talk they both knew that it would take a miracle for them to have children without a ditto’s help. A few weeks later as Smoke was cooling down after a battle victory and getting ready to watch his wife take some names in the arena he was surprised buzz bombed in the men’s locker room by a happily crying Nina who said just three words, “You’re a Daddy!”

A pre-fight medical check-up had reveled to Nina that sometimes miracles do happen when you pray for them, what the happy couple didn’t hear was the chuckle of Karma who decide that some debts where due.

After a very grueling pregnancy, she couldn’t fly for two whole weeks, Nina laid two eggs surprising not only the proud parents but the attending doctors as well. After being told several worst case scenarios by doctors the couple had an agonizing few weeks of waiting to see if their children would hatch healthy.

Once again prayers where answered when the hatching occurred the couple had a healthy baby torkoal girl, and a bouncing baby boy nincada. The proud parents had the first inkling of trouble when the children where brought out to the couples family’s, Husk leaned over and in the middle of commenting on how cute the baby torkaol girl was, she knocked him out with a small spat of flame and to this day the whole family claims the week old torkoal shook her tiny fist at her uncle for calling her cute. The children grew to be called the Terrible Two by teachers and baby sitters and after an evolution they became the Terrible Trio. The three siblings are never far apart from each other and have remained very close even as they entered their parents old school, The Pokemon Combat Academy.

Bios

Nina “Jet” Flameshell

Specis: Torkaol

Not many fighters can claim that their first knockout occurred before they where a year old but Nina does, and proudly to. Nina is truly a daddy’s girl as she has always loved to fight anywhere and with anyone. Daddy had to stop taking her to arena shows when at the ripe age of seven she walked onto the arena floor between matches and issued an open challenge to “Anyone in da building.” The referee who tried to shoe her out of the arena was nice enough not to press charges after she lit his pants on fire and gave him a black eye. Nina still doesn’t know why Daddy was so mad, she got a standing ovation after her début. Although Nina does dress like a girl she doesn’t really see the point after all the shell covers all the curvy bits she once complained to her mother when she became a teenager. She got her nickname as a young girl because she also inherited Mom’s love of speed and zoomed all over the house leaving a contrail of smoke behind her.

Nina has come to the Pokemon Combat Academy to continue the reputation the Fighting Flameshells have gathered over the past two generations. After all she doesn’t want to be the only one in the family without one of those fancy gold belts right.

Ben “Money” Flameshell

Specics: Ninjask

Like his sister Ben also loves to fight and battle whenever and with who ever is in front of him. But unlike his sister Ben thinks before he acts and is often the idea mon that thinks up how his sister and later brother would all get in and out of trouble. Ben was the idea mon behind a Jr. fighting league that he operated out of the preschool that he and Nina attended. When other mothers complained about how the champion Nina was always beating up their own children Ben’s only comment was “I pay them good cookies to go out and fight.” After the scheme was discovered Ben moved on to races around the playground, cleaning up on the suckers who didn’t think that a torkoal could move that fast. Ben wasn’t a slouch fighting ether and evolved much younger than normal nincada, which to him was just great now he had yet another mon with which to conspire.

Ben hasn’t had the same amount of success in his pre academy days as his brother and sister. Which his father blames on him scheming to often and not buckling down in the gym like his siblings. Ben is a speed demon like his mother before him but he likes to use his speed to spy on people and not surprise them like his mother used to. Ben is a schemer through and through and his parents often lament that he was to well named.


Boo Flameshell

Species: Shedinja

When Ben evolved it was at first thought that his skin didn’t evolve with him and as Smoke bent over to pick up the shell it suddenly came to life with and shouted out his new name “BOO!” Needless to say the whole family had a good laugh at just how high Smoke jumped that day, but Dad recovered quickly and gave his newest son a noogie saying that he would fit right in with the family. Boo is a fighter just like his siblings and a very successful one at that. He has already followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming a Jr. League champion, beating his sister while doing so, Boo loves life and is always seen trying to do things to the max, and doesn’t understand his creepy uncle Husk AT ALL! Boo’s other defining characteristic is his love of rock and roll, he has been the lead vocalist in several bands.

Boo comes to the Pokemon Combat Academy with one simple dream. To become the very first shedinja Grand Champion ever, and a lot of people think the scrappy pile of skin just might do it to!

Nina: *smiles proudly at her children*

Husk: *begins building a bomb shelter for when that day comes*
