I made this army in flameworking. They're all about an inch and a half tall and made from glass. I tried for every transparent color I could get. Some of the colors are hard to see; the first two in the back grow are brown and purple. The middle row is photo-negative, clear, and regular, and in the front is the Leonidas penguin. Everyone loves the spartan penguin with the sixpack.

So freaking cute! Have any advice for someone who wants to start trying flameworking? I have only the barest knowledge of the basics.

Not really... I mostly did beads for the two week class, and only at the very end ventured into penguins. practice practice practice! And watch other people do it and steal their techniques.

omg want them all.. they can go right next to my plushies, highlighter, glass earings, snow globe, gum... thermometer... mugs... etc.... lol.. as my roommates says they have taken away his sanity... but hey I'm a cat.. I'm allowed to like birds... lol
