Ahaha spreading the word from near and far! I totally think I remember that too. On Songdogs story you were comicing right?
I used to have an even worse habit of directly informing people. I would find random art and tell it to people (of course say more than that but always slipped it in). It's a very irritating trait people do. Bothers me right along with people who think "deer" is a generic term and don't bother to pick a TYPE of deer and study antlers. Instead they make some obscure antler rack that no living deer has.
That they aaaare!

A thing that's been bugging me lately are about deer too, but it's when people give them front teeth. Most cervine(and other similar animals) have no top front teeth. They have thick pallet/gum/thing that's weird and neat but not teeth. I admit I only learned this fact sometime within the last year, but now it bothers me. xD
I can let some stuff slide with anthros but in a general sense you might as well just call it a different species if you aren't going to bother to study your subject(as you said).

Aha I remember doing similar when I first found out! I think I found out around ToH sometime. Same applies to all ruminant animals such as goats, deer, antelope, cows, etc. anything that chews cud really. I have found myself looking at art back then of feral goats and cows and being aggravated too! Lately I don't pay as much attention to it when it's done in cartoon format because not having top teeth would probably make talking muddled haha but at the same time it's a curious thing and would make for a fancy sona feature!
