The USS Phlox is the premiere vessel for the Phlox Class Medical Ship. The Phlox Class was designed by a group of Denobulan engineers in honor of one of the first Denobulan doctors to work on a human built vessel, Dr. Phlox. The design was launched in the year 2290, and is based on the modified hull of a Sterling Class Search and Rescue Vessel.
