So far I can be sure it'll go up to page 12, though considering how many pages I'll actually need... hopefully I can finish the story.
Horses of course are a big favorite of mine as well. When I originally conceived of this story, Rhodes was a human, but then I decided to just completely furrify it and he became a horse. ;)

Ah, that seems a pretty short story for a comic. I guess you'll have quite a bit more when you can get it done.
Well you know I love horses too now. And I'm glad you made Rhodes a horse. Although I am curious why there are both anthro and feral versions of horse in the setting.

Yeah, the intended arc for this is 36 total to complete the first story.
I think he makes a handsome equine, plus my obvious affinity for them was one of the reasons why. ;) As far as that... Originally I'd had them with a pack lizard. In anthro settings it's often one of those issues that's tricky to deal with, such as a food source when you have chicken anthros and who fits the niche of animals when they're on two legs...
In this case I just let the artist do her thing and had no particular issue with it, kind of like how humans and monkeys exist so I'm going with the differing lines of evolution theory. ;)

Not too bad, that's probably a standard comic book length.
You are always allowed to use your favorite species from time to time. Nobody would ever lift an inquisitive ear were I to use a Rat in my stories.
YEah, coming up with a wholly consistent and thought through setting to that level is rather difficult and rarely gets appreciated. Right now I'm hung up for my story on the astrophysics (since it's a moon orbiting a gas giant). I have to resist the temptation to "build an Antikythera device" for the system.

I recall most of the ones I read as a kid being 24, but I need 36 at least to tell the story I want to tell. With luck, Journeys has two arcs, the post war story will have 2, Lauren's story has 4, and Lucy's has one.
I try not to use any one species too much though, I hate one trick ponies. :) It's why my characters are pretty diverse rather than having 6 foxes. ;P
What's an Antikythera device? :)

Wow, you've got quite a few stories there to tell. I hope you manage to do so!
I do like to have some variety too, but I am also helping to make sure that my favorite species get some love too.
The Antikythera device was an ancient Greek machine that could determine numerous celestial events including eclipses, tides, etc... It was very intricate and a real mystery for many years. It was found in the bottom of the Aegean Sea I believe.

Whoops, Ethan may have bit off more than he can chew. Whenever I read something like this, I think of The Last Unicorn when the wizard Mad Mabrooks noticed Amathia's true being and said. "Haggard, I would not be you for all the world. You've let your doom in by the front door." Love it.
