I had this commissioned from
. I gave him artistic freedom on this piece so they are not of my official design.
over many years i have created many characters to represent who i am, I have finally decided to have them all represented in physical (art) form!
from left to right:
Josh: created by my love of fantasy (age 10)
John: created by my interest of military and technology (age 12)
Flair: created after i found the furry community and hit puberty (age 14)
Bio: created when i found my skill for sprite artwork, based on my first sprite character (age 16)
EmberClad: created from my love for Lego, reignited (age 16)
EmberFox: a silver fox, created from my love for the great creatures (age 18)
Braid: created from my love for Pokemon! (age 20)
Josh was created as a fan character for the game RuneScape.
[Original Design] his weapon of choice was a strange metallic bow that had a green/blue/silver gleam to it and used arrows with absurd heads that were disc shaped rather than pointed
John was a cyborg super solder created from my peaking interest in futuristic military and warfare.
[Original Design] he had a muscle-like cybernetic structure (unlike the skeletal design shown) consisting of this legs, part of his back and lower torso, the left side of his face, and his right (not left) arm.
[traits and facts] He was capable of extending his fingers as either a weapon or for cybernetic warfare. He could also "blink" to change visual input of his digital optic.
Flair was going to be my introduction into the furry community but i just did not have the art skill to do so.
[Original Design] he had lost his right arm to an 'accident' at a young age. he has a robotic prosthetic that he covers with a skin sleeve while in public.
[traits and facts] the fist artist who i really started following was
, so most of the imaginary adventures with Flare tended to have Sparky in and round them, he may also be the reason i chose a Pokemon as my anthero. Flare was a student, an engineer, a wannabe solder, and a ninja (I was really into Naruto)
Bio was created when i discovered what sprite art was and discovered my untapped skill of the art.
[original design] this is the sprite of him. He may not seem like much, but it was enough for me to realize what i could truly do!
[traits and facts] alongside his above normal traits as an elite solder, he also has a form of psychokinesis that allows him to generate energy that he can physically manifest as a weapon in the form of beams and spheres.
EmberClad was my attempt to recreate Bio from the Lego Technic line of Bionicle toys.
[original design] from my scrap book i was able to draw partial concept images of him but could never create a complete images. the best sketches can be seen here and here.
though EmberFox is not this fursona's true name it might as well be. It's basically Emberclad furafied.
Braid is actually my currant online ID, i just happened to also make a Pokemon Trainer of myself at the same time.
[original design] this image is what was used for the drawing, but has since been updated to this.
