The Art Jam's theme for July 27th's is: "Your characters, stories, etc in another time period."

I decided to choose a basic concept from the Hinuzuna's 'Seventh Enlightenment Period' where they made great discoveries in metal working involving Steel and the discovery of Gunpowder. This Enlightenment Period became the precursor to their Industrial Age.

The weapon this particular Matriarch is holding is a staff weapon with a similar premise to the staff weapon from 'Stargate' where I drew inspiration for this design. A blunderbuss type firearm is attached at one end of this device and is used against heavily armored cavalry units, for slashing through a group of lightly armored infantry or to cause confusion and panic in enemy ranks from the loud 'thunderous bang' that emanated from said device. This bizarre tool was quickly replaced by smaller firearms later on and became mostly ceremonial for future Queens.
