this is my entry to a highlander OCT over on deviant art. So hyped for the audition round to start!
Description
Name: Isa
Age: 22
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 115 lbs
Gender: Female
Species: Vortian
Bio: Isa grew up like many Vortian hornlings, meaning she was enslaved by the Irken Empire, but was fairly young when she escaped with a few other prisoners. Therefore, she remembers little from the experience, with only her scars to remind her. While the actual escape was fairly calm, one of the compounds blew up a work area. Young Isa, seeing the flames, instantly knew that she wanted more to do with them. After growing up a refugee, Isa perfected her fighting skills in her spare time, sparring with older Vorts. She quickly grew bored with doing odd jobs around town, and began to advertise herself as a mercenary. On one job, she accidentally killed her target, and went back to her contractor, expecting to be punished. To Isa's surprise, she was rewarded with extra pay. Since then, she has decided that if the money is good enough, she is capable of killing.
Personality: Isa is very sassy when facing a strong opponent; often teasing them during a battle. She is confident, but not so much so that she is naive or boastful. However, this does not mean that she goes any easier when fighting weaker opponents. When not battling, Isa is outgoing, friendly and epithetic towards others.
Strengths: When fighting, Isa will use all of her weapons, including her body. Since her Mini flamethrower only has one shot before needing to be refilled, she often engages in melee combat with her opponents. She has wonderful upper body strength, and a fairly good jump distance. Isa loves fire and is very experienced at wielding it. She also carries "fire beads", small capsules that, when exposed to physical contact at high speeds, I.e. throwing them, burst into flames. She is a left handed shooter when it comes to ranged weapons. She is capable of killing, but prefers not to.
Weaknesses: Isa has discovered that she has a severe medical condition, with danger specific to her lungs. She needs to take a tablet a day of her pill medication, and her needle once a month, or in high stress situations that cause "attacks". She can survive for two hours without her medication during an attack, during witch her lungs slowly begin to cave in, causing suffocation. She can self administer for the first hour and a half of an attack, but after that, another person is required to administer the needle. Isa is also scared of large drops and severe highs, along with drowning. She is not scared of water; however, she just dislikes it.
