The hardest thing this weekend was preventing myself from occasional fangirling. This included fangirling over Beetlejuice, which was DEFINITELY the hardest. Seriously. I have had a crush on BJ since I was 7. Yes, I know that could be potentially weird and screwed up, but I really do not care.

OMG OMG. When I grabbed him in suit (as both of us were leaving the con hotel), he agreed to a photo, complimented the color scheme, and then gave ol Val there a kiss on the nose. I was talking about it for the next like. Five hours. I couldn't shut up, it just made me THAT happy.

When my friend Yamal heard about it, he had to meet old Beetle too. So I searched for him... no signs anymore on Friday, nor Saturday... finally, Sunday, before we leave, he appears in the glass elevator! Now that is service. I, of course, was not in suit, so I grabbed a regular photo of him. "Hey Beetlejuice," said I, "can I grab you for a sec?" To which he replied, "Sure, you can grab me anytime you want." Or... something really similar to that. I was still in the process of trying not to scream and run around and cling to him, really, it was pathetic. I hated myself so very much for wanting to fangirl like that. I fail.

But yeah. Beetlejuice was like... my whole childhood. I watched the movie way too much, and I miss the cartoon more than I would miss my leg if it got up and ran off.

I have been thinking about making a fursuit of a beetle for Furfright if I find I can go (nothing too spectacular), so that I can see if Beetlejuice will chase and try to eat it XD

Gods... AC was so fun. Beetlejuice, you rock. You're more than welcome to come get homemade booze off of me if you ever find yourself in NY. Same goes to Captain Jack of course. I have been told I make the most ass-kicking (in many ways) mead.
