This is Ruby Falls which highlights a cave tour given on Lookout Mountain just outside Chattanooga Tennessee. At this point you have walked nearly 1/2 mile into the mountain and are about 1,100 feet underground.
The falls were discovered in the early 1930's during the construction of an elevator shaft to access an even bigger cave system deeper in the mountain and the construction happened across the smaller cave system containing the waterfall.
