5 Years

5 years ago ( when I was 15 ) I made the conscious decision to study anatomy so I could draw people. This was the very first attempt at drawing the human figure without use of any reference. After I finished it I remember feeling really discouraged, but I spent that entire year practicing every day. I made a huge leap at the end of the year and despite feeling inadequate sometimes, looking at what I was capable of just 5 years ago makes me remember how much potential we have to grow if we simply put our mind to it. Makes me excited to see what the next 5 years will bring.

I'm sure you've heard it before, but honestly being persistent is so important. Try to draw every day and try things you're not comfortable with. Get involved with other artists and collect art that inspires you.
Go on tumblr or deviantart and just google tutorials in whatever it is you want to become better at (anatomy, shading, backgrounds, etc).
Currently I wake up at 6-7am every day and walk to McDonalds and study for 2 hours steady. I've only been doing it for 3 days so far but I can already feel a significant difference. I'm working on anatomy right now, so this whole week I'm spending 2 hours a day focused on a particular body part. Focus is what makes you successful in whatever it is you wanna do. If you ever have any questions, don't be afraid to ask. :)
This is mostly right ! I have been doing a whole lot of anatomy studies too recently.
I also thought you were much older. In any case, whoa !
The future will be awesome :D
