Earning respect increases your reputation along with your sponsors, that means you'll get more discounts and more new items for you to buy from them. Respect is also important in here as some Gunwarriors belittle anyone that isn't important to them; Rookies, Low-ranking Gunwarriors, and ordinary cat people... errr, actually that last one is given, but yes. They'll ignore you if you don't have a good reputation.
If you earn enough respect some Gunwarriors will become your friend, and if you treat them nicely enough they'll give you something nice in return. Who knows, it could be a rare item? *smirks* It doesn't matter if you lose, atleast they're still there to support you... well, some of them. Don't expect their kindness to last forever.
