As the knot slid into place, my vision went fuzzy. I blinked a couple of times. All of a sudden, I was finding it hard to see what was in front of me. I had some problems seeing long distance, but was I suddenly losing my immediate vision too? I blinked again, hoping my vision would clear, and looked down at my watch.
Usually I could read it just raising my left arm slightly, but now, all the numbers and hands were blurring, becoming unclear. I coughed nervously. "Why can't I read my watch...?" I wondered out loud to myself, unaware that my voice had taken on a slight nasally sound. I raised my arm close to my face, and it wasn't until it was almost right in my face that I could make out the numbers. All of a sudden, my fears about losing my sight completely disappeared from my mind as I realized something very worrying...
more. this and the next part will probably be kind of short since they take place very quickly after each other, at least in my mind.
