Taken at Califur IV.
I believe this was around the fursuit meet & greet. I found myself attending it (Biggest rule of any furry convention: Never photograph a fursuiter with his head taken off. It's an easy way to get beat up, or at the very least, your camera destroyed), just to get an idea of what I might consider building.
So far, I've just got a partial suit in mind, with the main focus of the mask being prosthetics, kind of like on Star Trek. Of course, I'm not sure if I'm allergic or not to that kind of makeup, so I'm going to have to learn the easy way, by buying just the least expensive bottle of the material that would eventually be applied to my face and just putting a bit of it on my arm. If nothing happens, then I'm good to go. If a rash breaks out, then I'm basically going to build the head around a balaclava, tail, and perhaps the hands as well. Now, if only I can find a tailor who can build this suit of clothes I have in mind.
Back to the photograph, I don't know this one's name, or even species, but it looked like an interesting enough suit to photograph. It's a good thing that I at least downloaded all the photos of Califur onto my hard drive before that one camera went missing.
Comments, questions, concerns.
