Got a present from my son, DJ, the other day. It's a photo of him and his boyfriend, Cobain, with a note saying that they are on their way to some "battle of the bands" road trip. I gotta say, the pup is growing up pretty damn fast. Shit, I remember when he was just a lil tyke, all barking at the television and peeing on everything that wasn't his...just like his old man way back in the day.

I can't believe he's already eighteen.

He's got my Great Dane genes for certain, but he's got more of his mother's build to him. I miss the pup, but I know that I can't keep him on a leash forever. Ya gotta let 'em venture out on their own and experience the world. it seems he is doin' just fine. He says he'll be home in a couple weeks. First, he and Cobain are gonna check out the sites and travel state-wide before coming back home. I told him he's always welcome here whenever he feels the need.

...now if he'd only cut his goddamn hair!

I can't believe I never uploaded this! Somewhere down the way, I believe that I totally looked over this fantastic piece done by my dear friend. I love how DJ turned out in truth. He has his Pa's looks but is completely different in body size and attitude, that is for certain.
