A little story concept I had for a game. While I was drawing another picture of the girl in the front, I decided to try out something new. I loved working on the colors of this piece, and of the huge snake monster. I based the snake monster on a Germanic mythical being called an Elder Mother, who is a guardian of elder trees and unless asked for permission, they will curse any woodsman who cuts down an elder tree in their forest. There is another version for Ash, and I'm sure there are more versions for other trees. This is my version: A guardian of the forest, a giant snake, mother of trees. She easily snakes her way around the forest like a river through the trees, and will give gifts to those who please her or harm anyone who displeases her.
