It's been a while I was travelling with my Raptor friend Sern'aath. He's a great guide for my explorations in the jungle. He keeps me safe from poisonous plants and fruit, and chase the predators that annoys us.
After a day of travel, we set up a camp for the night...

"If we keep this pace, we will reach the temple you were talking of in less than 2 days." Sern'aath said.
"I wouldn't mind if it takes a week or more. It's so fun travelling here. All this vegetation, animals and such. Full of colours."
"You should be more careful before hugging a wild animal again." He said.
"But they're so fuzzy and cuddly."
"This isn't the place to fool around Altallo." He said.
Sern'aath can be a bit killjoy sometime. At least he's friendly most of the time.
"What a killjoy. Can't you be cool sometime? Haha."
He looked at me while remaining silent.
"So... you want to see something cool?" He said.
"Yeah sure, what it is?"
Sern'aath grins and flexes his athletic body to pump his toned muscles.
"My sweet muscles." He said.
"You're silly. But that's great."
He turns on the other side to flex in a different position. Bulky.
"Now I'll show you another cool thing." He said.
"What it is?"
He takes his spear he left on the ground.
"How to properly wield a spear. Learning how to use that thing need time and training, but at the end, it's quite satisfying." He said.
"Oh sure, show me how you do."
"First, you must be sure it is straight and firm. If you get a curved spear, it won't be as effective." He said.
"This makes sense."
"Next, you place your hand between the head and the centre. The other hand there. This way, you will get a good grip. Go on and try it." He said.
"I've never had a weapon in hand before. I'm not sure I'll do it right."
"Don't worry, I'm here to help you with it." He said.
"So I put my hand here, and the other one there?"
"Just a little bit closer. Yeah, that's the spot." He said.
"Is there other ways to handle a spear?"
"There are other styles, but this stance is my favourite. Now, that you know how to handle my spear, you'll have to learn how to thrust. You get in position, hands at the right place, and you take spear back and for, right in your target." He said.
"What if I'm not sure if I'll be able to?"
"Don't worry. I won't ask you to thrust in something if you're not comfortable with this. Anyway. I can take care of you." He said.
"You're so kind Sern'aath."
I hug him. I'm so happy to have him in my company. He's handsome, strong, kind and always there to protect me. Mmm... weird, I sense something.
"Sern'aath?"
"Yes?" He asked.
"What's that hard thing I feel there?"
"My spear, you didn't let me the chance to drop it." He said.
"Oh yeah, sorry."
