I have been thinking into making an animated short about them.

Zasha has the urge to protect a puppy who doesn't know she's about to die due to a disease. Zasha and Cuca are best friends since Zasha has the imagination of a child, even if she's already grown up. Zasha has a Beagle friend named Lucy, and she befriends Cuca too.
One night, Zasha has an strange dream about meeting her parents in the afterlife. She is in the middle of a wheat field and she has to decide to which dog to go: Her parents or Cuca. Zasha decides to get to her parents, since they disappeared when she was just a puppy.

One day, both are assaulted by a human, and Zasha prepares to attack the human. But before that, the human was quick and shot her in the head.

Zasha dies, but Cuca is enraged. She makes the human go away, but there is nothing she can do.

Some months later, Zasha revives as a ghost to say her goodbyes to Cuca, who is still unaware of her condition, and the pup is now taken by Lucy to be cared for the rest of her life. Zasha cannot say goodbye phisically, so she sends a wind with the words "Goodbye Cuca, we'll see each other soon. It's me, your guardian angel, Zasha". With that, she flies to Heaven, and bows to return.

Writing this got me teary-eyed. I can imagine that in my head ;(
