Here's the mask after furring. I extended the canines with friendly plastic. The nose was a Crayola air dry foam clear coated (too fragile), I actually used 2 wigs on the mask: 1 for the back and the other was cut in half, sewn in place on either side and braided. The entire eye sockets are covered in pantyhose. I cut 2 irises from orange plexiglas, scored the back side in a burst pattern, and then covered the back in aluminum tape. They were glued in place directly on the pantyhose.

Yup. That's what I used in Rhea's head as well. I've tried buckram in the past but personally think the visibility is better with black pantyhose. You can just stretch it to the visibility level you want and it still does a good job of obscuring the wearer's eyes, even in flash photography. I usually just put some hot glue around the eye socket and stretch the material out until it looks relatively thin and hold it in place while the glue cools.
