when Richard comes out of the black pool he notices he is not a human anymore

he looks at himself and see's a imp now

he can't even remember his own name

the warlock comes to him and laughs and says he is now his slave and his name is Impy
Richard loosing his memoirs thinks this is his really name so he goes with it

now he is the slave to the warlock to do his evil biding
