too bad that turret is his only safe haven, while I feed on his precious minions ;3

You'd be surprised how effective that spin of his is at farming under the turret. ;D

Then again, I'm so fucking out of practice, and I've only played against bad Renekton's with Darius before. Renekton is a hard counter to most other top laners, Darius included. X3 Hell, I think Yorik is just about the only one who can deal with him anymore. D:

He pretty much is the 'you must be this tall to top lane' bar.

Still, Renekton has trouble with some ranged top laners. Ryze can work pretty well against him if you use your rune prison when Rene slices and dices. Toplane Vayne shows up now and then too vs him, where you can harass with silver bolts and condemn him away whenever he tries to close

Another trick is to pick Shyvana and just outscale him after like lvl 8

From what I remember when I pvp'd more frequently, I never saw a Shyv win. Ren has a lot more sustain, and his burst is way higher. Shyv just has the mild tank granted by her Durrgn form. And Vayne is a big gamble, in my experience using her. High risk, high reward is her build, and against a melee like Ren the risk is obscenely high with her having among the shortest range for adc's. I can see how Ryze could potentially work, since a number of Armor gear has mana on it and he works more off spam than actual bursting. X3

Yeah, Vayne requires positioning skill to work. The trick is you play keepaway with Renekton and harass him whenever he tries to CS, and condemn him whenever he tries to close.

You build Shyv tanky and give her armour and eventually she just becomes impossible for Renekton to trad favourable with and since she does hybrid damage she's hard to itemize against. She just scales better than him and you can counter his ult with the Dragon's Descent. Shyv vs Renekton toplane battles were a staple of so many pro games in S4, though the toplane meta in pro has changed and now Lulu and Gragas show up a lot.

Renekton needs to get enough advantage in the early game to beat shyvana or use his lane bully status to roam or do plays otherwise. Also Shyv has decent waveclear with burnout/fire breath so she doesnt suffer from being pushed in as bad as others.

I havnt lost to a Shyv yet :3
