I have a few of these tagua pendants remaining, and decided I was going to do a few 'variant' designs. . . I.E. designs that differ from the original beading. This is the first of a few!

These necklaces are made almost entirely of natural materials. They are strung on leather cording and simply knotted, the beads are made of horn, pewter, wood and resin, and the pendants are made of Tagua. I'm going to quote Foxfeather directly here - Tagua is essentially natural ivory. It's the nut of the rainforest palm tree, and is a naturally renewable resource with many qualities similar to animal ivory. The totems inscribed in these tagua pendants are designs made specifically for the three main characters from 'Off the Beaten Path', and are extremely limited (I have a dozen of each design). I'm not certain I'll ever have the resources to have these made again. . . but we'll see! They did fairly well at AC :)
