I'm fascinated with dream weaving and everything that goes into it on furc. Here is my first try at editing/making a walkabout, or avatar. I used the Swiftkill_tiger patch's base, and the idea for the species from my friend Cody. One of his characters is this sort of creature, so I wanted to take a stab at making it.
It took me quite a while, because each position had to face in four directions, then you have the 3 poses that make the avvie look like its walking (x4 for each direction it faces)... lots and lots of edits. e.e
xD but I love this techinical, bit by bit shit. Like writting DS. Just love it.
I think I'll be using this in my dream, The Torture Chamber Club. So if any of you out there visit Furcadia, specifically Furabian Nights, come check it out!
oh! that tiger in the corner is the base I edited. The model is, of course, my Bluefire Dragonheart ;P

Mmm... pixel by pixel xD
Furcadia comes with a FSH edior that you do this sort of work in. I took the tails from the different poses and copy/pasted four on each pose. No editing there beyond flipping it around.
For the stripes, I used the base color to thin down the original stripes, then just added to them to make the designs. Then I added points to the ears to make them longer. The tentacles I drew seperately, then copy pasted onto the different poses. ^.^
