Cale and Sammy were driving home from a party, sammy currently a gargoyle to keep Cale company, when their car suddenly broke down. The two got out to go look for somewhere to get help, since, of course, there was no cell phone reception.

Instead, the two found an abandoned trailer, containing a couch, a chair, a TV and a refrigerator full of beer. The two felt compelled to take a beer each and plop down on the furniture. The TV came on by itself, showing a football game. The two gargoyles were unable to tear their eyes away the TV, or stop themselves from drinking the beer.

As they did so, the two started to morph, bellies pudging out, limbs thickening and clothes morphing. Sammy sprouted a tiny goatee and his t-shirt morphed into a wifebeater covered by a straining button down shirt. His jeans enlarged and undid themselves, revealing his equally straining underwear. A baseball cap appeared on Cale's head, followed by his t-shirt transforming into a worn football jersey and his shorts into kahki pants.

Where the two thin, city gargoyle had been sitting moments before, now sat two fat, redneck gargoyle, belching unembarrassedly. Sammy now thought of himself as a plumber, while Cale remembered himself being a retired football player who had let himself go to seed. Out in front of the trailer, their car had even morphed into a rusty pick up truck.

The two took the trailer on as their own, excited about the free cable and magically unlimited beer fridge and remained there until Cale's master tracked them down and dispelled the curse on the house that was keeping reality altered.
