It's the last day of registration and our team is pretty empty. I know you guys are into wild adventures, so come adventure with me. The elephant head pictured is for the GISHWHES 2014 mascot, the octophant. I built him in about eight hours over two days, he's pretty crappy as far as fursuit standards of construction go so his name is Shitty Elephant.
So GISHWHES. It's The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen, and it's madness. Art clashing with wild deeds and strange feats. Last year I had a blast. And this year I have to work, but I promise to be a good contributing member. Winning team gets a trip to Croatia to be pirates. All proceeds of the scavenger hunt go to charity.

As for anxiety, it's strange. It's really sort of freeing. Like, some of it you think "Oh god, I could never do that!" And then you just do it, it pushes some crazy boundaries. Like I took the field at a minor league baseball game and got a crowd of a thousand people to chant a word they had never heard before, and I usually clam up in front of crowds.
And a lot of times you just say "It's for charity!" We had the local Ford Classics Club lend us a car for the "naked person dressed only in cheese with a classic car", we just called them up said "It's for charity, so can we borrow a car to let a naked girl dressed in cheese pose with?" Never met them before, haven't seen them since. But it was wild in that anonymous-craz-art-charity antics feeling.

I understand its okay. There are usually a lot of art things, though. Stuff you could do (if you wanted) at home alone. I made a kickass life size rideable zebra out of Maxi-pads last year. And there's always a lot of "draw X", "Make Z a portrait out of skittles" stuff. I just don't want people to feel left out if they want to join up.
I participated in a small scale scavenger hunt with tasks like that on a pet collecting site I'm on. I made a partial "fursuit" out of bed sheets and toilet paper. :x it was the shittiest thing in the world. Also things like making pictures out of leaves and pencil shavings and stuff. I'm totally down for things like that.
