A very rough sketch of the orca tail I am designing for myself.
The only think I didn't really convey in this picture is that instead of a white fabric for the belly I actually chose a light silver because white fabric tends to be see through. I also thought the silver would add a very eye-catching, fantasy pop.

And after this one I'm planning to make a green tail for my friend. She happens to be a natural red head so a traditional Ariel Emerald Green would look stunning on her. Though I am quite torn as to whether I should give her a "Speed and Performance" tail like mine or whether I should make her a more aesthetically pleasing veil tail.
It is. I think it largely depends on what type of monofin I get/make for her. If she wants a "fluke" one like mine then it would be rather hard to make her a veil tail because of the shape. But if she wants a more rounded one I could do it.
