Here we are, chapter 23. Yeah I know its a bit short, but just trying to get some things out there before the move. Anyway, Jack does his best to help the Pirate Queen.

Survallience tapes missing!

The Kino are baffled when they found the tapes of the CEO’s building for a certain time period are missing. Even the team studying them has gone missing, the only lead they have is a vague wolf shape that at least one eye witness claimed to see. The Kino are trying to figure out how this could have happened. They are strongly dismissing the notion of magic could have been involve, due to their belief that it’s all just tricks.

We hope to bring more of this as it develops.


The Pirate Queen lied on the ground in front of me, injured. But she was moving just a bit, which I guess means she was ok. I watched her as I tried to think of a good course of action, I mean she was the leader of the Pirate Armada. But I did help that other taur on that station, who was part of the Armada. ‘What should I do?’ I thought to myself, trying to figure it out.

‘Help her, Jack’

I looked around, that voice was back, but not for long. Whoever was saying that did sound familiar. I know I heard it somewhere before, just couldn’t place my finger on it. But that would have to wait for another time as I turned and looked down at her. Despite the voice, another part of me was saying to help.

But I wasn’t sure where to begin; I mean she was an alien. I do know some first aid, but not sure if that would work on her. The only thing I could do is try to wake her, if she wasn’t awake that is. I approached her cautiously. I reach down and gently shook her shoulder. “Ah, hello?” I asked not really what else to say.

Her eyes opened when she heard my voice and she looked up. “I will go out fighting!” she shouted, as she struggled to get up. Her eyes looking directly into mine, showing she had a lot more fight in her. And to me, she was seeing me as an enemy.

Thinking fast I raised my hands, to show I wasn’t carrying any weapons. “I know you have no right to trust me. But you are injured and I am at the moment the best help for you” I said as I turned around slowly, making sure she could see no weapons on me. “Why would you want to help me? Anyone would jump at the chance to turn me in” she said as she struggled to her four legs.

“Ok look, I have nothing to do with the galactic government, in fact I helped one of you before” I said coming clean.

“Wait, what?”

“Yes I helped a tiger taur, big one, bigger then you I think. I helped her and with help from my engineer with a medical robot, manage to fix her up.”

“Hmmm” she said as she thought this over. I watched wondering what she would do, if she would at least let me try to help. “Well, I guess so. Don’t try anything funny though” she said as she came to a decision. I nod as I put my hands down and walked closer to her. “I will not. But I am not going to lie, I don’t know about your race’s biology, so you may have to help with this” I said as I looked over her.

I could see no serious injuries on the outside. Just a lot of scratches and bruises, “ Well you look good on the outside, atleast what I can see.” I looked around more and nod, “I think at most just need some bandages and I guess something to make sure the scratches don’t get infected” I said. I looked around and thought for a minute, “Sadly with the bandages I don’t think that can be done. As for the disinfector stuff, I am not sure if anything around here can be used” I said.

“You’re not from this planet are you?” she asked looking at me, I just nodded. “Yeah, I think I was shot down, separated from my ship and crew. I was trying to find them and some settlement in case they decided to go there” I said as I tried my best to fix some of her wounds, again was hard without having proper stuff, and I only knew earth first aid. “Well, I will try and help you find them if you help me and don’t turn me in” she said. I nodded it did seem fair after all. “Well, I’m Jack” I said thinking it would be good to introduce myself first. She nods, “Just call me Rita. Now then, if you are going to help we should think of what to do.”

I returned the nod, “Right night is falling so a fire should be first.” I turned and started to gather what sticks I could get and seemed good enough for a fire. I went about to dig a small pit with my hands, getting them dirty within minutes before I put sticks in, getting some rocks and lying them around the pit, Didn’t want to start a wild fire after all.

After a minute or two I manage to get a fire started as I put more sticks near by. I walked over to Rita and helped her over. “This should keep us warm for the night. I am not sure how cold night gets on this planet” I said as she nods. “It should yeah. Now well the planets I know that is safe to eat on this planet we can use for a meal tonight” she said looking over towards me. “Ah ok, what should I look for?” I asked looking towards her as I helped her settle down, being careful of her injuries.
“Ok, what should I get?” I asked.

“Try to find berries, ones that are green with purple stripes. They shouldn’t be poisonous, but I am not sure I am unfamiliar with your species”

“Green Berries with purple stripes. Got it” I said as I stood up and started to look around, not seeing any in the clearing. “I will be back in a few minutes” I said to Rita as I walked out into the woods, the slowly setting sun still giving me light as I made sure to check my position of the clearing before I started to search the woods a bit.

I walked a bit more, as I looked around, searching bushes and the trees. I blinked a bit as I continued to walk, when I opened my eyes I knew that something was really off. The Woods had changed, the trees were black and it had gotten real foggy. Like could only see a few feet ahead, the ground felt like I was standing in a swamp.

I scratched my head, as I looked around. The trees looked like they were made of shadows, but they were solid. I could hear alien cries around me of creatures, and alien as in I don’t think they were from my universe.

Then it hit me, Kiri had mentioned this before, where her family goes from time to time. I know where I was.

I was in the Void.
